Please be advised that we are not actively recruiting for Tour Coordinators at the moment but always welcome speculative CV’s.

Did you ever go on a residential school trip with your school? Maybe you were lucky enough to go skiing for a week? Or on a language trip to Germany or history tour of Normandy in France? Chances are if you did, you’ll have some ever-lasting memories? Well that’s what we do at Select School Travel. We organize and deliver an array of educational and ski tours to match cost with service, alongside quality. Our founder has been around school travel since the 70’s and now introduces the next generation of school travel, with his son at the helm as MD.

At the heart of delivering our educational tours and ski trips are our team of Tour Coordinators. Lively and hardworking, the team thrives on the buzz of a fast-paced environment. It’s an environment that’s not for the faint hearted, but it is for anyone who is passionate about people (school party leaders, colleagues, suppliers, travel advisors to name just a few), is super organized, has a hawk’s eye for detail and loves the challenge of pulling together an entire tour or ski trip to an array of destinations near and far.

Each day varies, and there’s never a dull moment but daily responsibilities will generally include:

· Delivering each tour or ski trip through the full cycle from confirmation to post-tour feedback, whilst giving the best service at every stage
· Communicating with internal and external suppliers by phone and by email
· Producing all relevant & accurate paperwork for the tour or ski trip including itineraries, travel packs, invoices etc
· Processing booking amendments and cancellations
· Handling all questions and queries and liaising with other parties to find a resolve

· A friendly telephone manner
· Sound knowledge of MS Office
· Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
· Another language such as French or Italian would be fabulous (but not essential!)
· Friendly telephone manner
· Willingness to get stuck in and go above and beyond to ensure the schools who choose to travel with Select receive the very best in customer service

In return for your commitment, dedication and hard work, you’ll benefit from:

· A competitive salary
· 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
· Induction training and ongoing development
· Being part of a close-knit team in a small but fast growing and forward thinking company
· An annual full board 3-night stay for 2 people at the Select Chateau du Baffy in Normandy, France (includes foot passenger ferry and transfers and is to be taken at the end of July/during August)
· Occasional opportunities to travel e.g. tourist board trips or inspection visits
· Regular company social events
· Tour Coordinating is a full-time position but some flexibility can be given towards working hours and patterns.
