  • Bavaria Film Studios

    What you’ll experience:

    The studios are located south of Munich in Grünwald/Geiselgasteig. A great excursion for students - the Bavaria Film Studios are where "Das Boot" was shot as well as many successful German films and TV series. There is a stunt show with special effect and students can see Falcor the dragon from The Neverending Story.

  • Allianz Arena

    What you’ll experience:

    Students can immerse themselves in the world of professional football at the Allianz Arena, the home of FC Bayern.

    Tours last approximately 75 minutes for groups and start with a film on the development of the Allianz Arena. After that there is a guided tour taking in the changing rooms, the tunnel, the interior rooms, the press club, the upper tier and a pitchside visit.

  • Neuschwanstein Castle

    What you’ll experience:

    Neuschwanstein Castle is a nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rocky hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner. The palace was a personal refuge for the reclusive king, and was opened to the public after his death in 1886.

    Located a short drive from Hohenschwangau Castle. Neuschwanstein Castle can only be visited with a guided tour in German and English and last around 30 minutes. Further information can be found via the website where there are also some pre-tour activities to share for children.

  • Hohenschwangau Castle

    What you’ll experience:

    Hohenschwangau Castle is a 19th century castle which was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. It was built by his father, King Maximilian II of Bavaria.

    Located a short distance from Neuschwanstein Castle. The castle can only be visited with a guided tour in German and English and last around 35 minutes.

  • BMW Museum and BMW Welt

    What you’ll experience:

    The BMW Museum is an automobile museum in Munich located near the Olympiapark, detailing the history of the automobile manufacturer BMW. The museum was established in 1973, shortly after the Summer Olympics. The museum shows BMW's technical development throughout the company's history and exhibits engines and turbines, aircraft, motorcycles, and more.

    In addition to actual models there are futuristic-looking, and conceptual studies from the past 20 years. The emphasis of the museum is technical development and the benefits of modernity. 

  • Olympic Park and Tower

    What you’ll experience:

    The Olympiapark in Munich was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. The park is now a venue for cultural, social, and religious events.

  • Marienplatz

    Subject range: MFL, Cultural

    What you’ll experience:

    Marienplatz is a central square in the centre of Munich and has been the city's main square since 1158. In the Middle Ages markets and tournaments were held here and the Glockenspiel in the tower of the new city hall was inspired by these tournaments. The pedestrian zone between Karlsplatz and Marienplatz is an area with numerous shops.

    The Marienplatz is dominated by the New City Hall (theNeues Rathaus) on the north side, and on the east side is Munich's Old City Hall (the Altes Rathaus).
